2014 US Open Review

Ian Poulter finished this years US Open Championship in a very respectful 17th place after four steady rounds of 70, 70, 74, 70. He posted ten birdies over the four rounds and after playing his first 9 holes in 3 under on the final round had moved up into 9th place. His Sunday charge came to an end with bogeys at 11, 12 and 15 but finishing T17 has given Ian more points towards his 2014 Ryder Cup campaign. He now sits in 6th place for Europe in the RC standings which means he's only a couple of spots away from automatic qualification.
